The BI Engineer is responsible for designing, building, enhancing and maintaining Service Fabric Business Intelligence and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. Those solutions (currently mainly based in PowerBI) must become the source of truth of any MI reporting and offering a simple but at the same time complete environment for stakeholder to take data-driven decisions.The BI Engineer will design, develop and deliver high quality solutions that exceed stakeholders’ or business partners’ expectations, and will proactively share their own knowledge for specific technical solutions and business processes in their area of responsibility. The BI Engineer has to be able to discuss with stakeholders, and to drive the best data approach to offer a best-in-class analytics / reporting environment.The BI Engineer will be part of a team inside Sage’s global Service Fabric organisation, located in multiple countries around the globe (UK, US, Poland, Spain, etc.). You’ll be part of a dynamic team focused on integration and enablement activities.#LI-LD2


Responsabilidades principales

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
  • Successful , develop, delivery maintain high quality solutions (requirements, , code, technical documentation, etc.)
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
  • Maintain and support data analytics platforms
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI system
  • Be an active and enthusiastic team player. Partner effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments.
  • Commitment to team success and positive team dynamics
  • Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Continuously strive to make improvements to the existing products and/or systems and services.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed to the required quality standards.
  • Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools & techniques
Skills, know-how and experience:
  • 2+ years professional experience, mainly as BI Developer
  • Passion for being hands on techie
  • Extensive knowledge in Microsoft PowerBI and data analysis
  • Knowledge of one or more relevant data management technologies: data warehousing, data mining, database management, OLAP, ETLs, …
  • Knowledge of one or more relevant programming languages and databases: Python, .NET/.NET core, NodeJS, MongoDB or similar, MySQL or similar.
  • Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of software development.
  • Experience working in Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure and the services offered through those platforms, mainly related with data management.

  • Computer Science (or related degree/qualification)
